The Boston Tea Party
Evening, December 16, 1773
Everyone gathered in groups and smeared coal dust and/or red paint and wore Mohawk Indian clothes. Then, they gathered in Griffin What to see how the plan worked. There were 3 ships with 342 chests of British tea, shipped by the East Indian company. "Yummy!" we'll say, but it's not at all "Yummy!" for the Americans. They boycotted the British tea. Why? Because King George the III of the Great Britain made the Americans pay taxes (even on their own tea)and do almost everything a British man/woman will do( be just like them ) and they didn't even have a voice in the Parliament. The people divided into 3 groups.(a group per ship)The first thing they did was tying the captain and the sailors up. Then they took all the chests and thrown them in the river. Here you go King George the III! How do you like that? When they finished there was a new melody in the air.
Rally, Mohawks! Bring your axes.
And tell King George we'll pay no taxes.
On his foreign tea!
